Meanderings

For some odd reason, I have not been able to access my blog in a couple of months. My son-in-law told me to try another internet browser, and here I am. I am not sure why internet explorer will not allow me to sign in, though. Weird things are happening with this computer. I cannot print to my printer from this desktop computer, either. I can send things to the printer from the laptop or from the phone, but my computer will not 'talk' to the printer. Weird...Also, it is very difficult for me to do work for school without my printer!
School has been weird, too. All I have been doing since January 1 is test, test, test. There are too many tests being given to children these days. We have no time to teach, because we are testing. How are the children expected to learn anything for the test, if the teacher only has time for testing but no instruction??
The winter blast hit us this week, too. Luckily, our city leaders took precautions and cancelled schools in a timely manner. They did an early release for Tuesday and a cancellation for Wednesday. They have already cancelled school for tomorrow for students. Teachers must go in to work, but they will go on a two hour delay. I'm glad we are not in the situation that is in Atlanta. Someone really messed up in that part of our state!!
My 'footsies' are cold right now! Why is the floor always colder than the rest of the house?? hmmm??
The pansies on my front porch are full of ice. They look perfectly preserved, though. I hope that they are not killed from the cold. Maybe they will thrive, when the ice melts from them. They are pretty!! I must take a picture of them for proof!
I am so glad that I did not watch the Grammy award show. I heard that it had more filth presented than music. The whole concept of raunchy behavior on award shows escapes reasoning for me. The behavior displayed by established performers is baffling to me. I read a really well thought out post that was written by a Christian singer who chose not to go to the Grammy awards. She won this year, but she wasn't there to accept her award. She said that she just did not need to be in that type of atmosphere. I will find the link to her article and put it on this blog, before I post it.
The title of this particular blog post is called meanderings. I suppose I have expressed a lot of crazy thoughts, but they are my thoughts at the moment. Perhaps I could keep them to myself, but I feel like typing them out and getting them off my chest!
The link below is to a facebook post by the artist Mandisa. She includes links to some of her music. I hope that you can access the link and enjoy her words.
